Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft were thefirst to use music as a weapon and were oneof the undisputed fathers of Industrial/Militaristicmusic. They inspired the likes of Die Krupps, NitzerEbb, and Dirk Ivens and became one of the fewelectronic bands to succeed at live performance. Their fourth album, Gold Und Liebe, is a broodingamalgamation of real drums, synthesizer, and lyricalmantras and affirmations. Although the song constructionis minimal, the album is extremely tight and forceful. Thisis my favorite DAF album, but many like their previous album,Alles Ist Gut, better.---Excellent!
