Comments for He Said, Take Care

Although this album is not (by any stretch) Lewis's second work, it comes off sounding like a sophomore effort. Not as good as Hail! or the recent HALO disc.

I haven''t heard "Hail" (yet), but I''ve lived with this one for 9 years now and have always believed it to be a pretty massive album. It seems clear to me that Lewis was providing a lot of the source for Wire''s later direction, both musically and lyrically. The first track on here is orgasmically good and amazingly strong; it''s all in the brilliant production by John Fryer and Lewis. The second track is nice. The rest of the album starts to bog down a bit; the material isn''t particularly brilliant. The production, though, is brilliant and the album is worth a spin.
TAKE CARE is much like the first album, Hail. It contains muchof the same elements plus help from Keith LeBlanc and John Fryer. It also includes a cover of Leonard Cohen`s "Suzanne". TakeCare is the best received He Said album to date and I`d have to agreethat it`s the best.---Excellent! Highly Recommended!
