Comments for Bone Symphony, Bone Symphony e.p.

Bone Symphony are a Synthpop trio made up of Jakob Magnusson,Marc Levinthal, and vocalist Scott Wilk. They look and sound a lotlike Industry (not surprising since they are signed to the same labelduring the same year), but I don`t think that they`re that great of a band. Their sound is a bit too commercial for my taste and they don`t have anysongs on this e.p. that I would consider catchy. "It`s A Jungle Out There"is probably the best track and contains some complex sequencing, butstill falls short. Three years prior to this release, Scott Wilk fronted aband called Scott Wilk & The Walls that inturn released a self-titled albumin 1980 on Warner Bros. Records. Their sound was similar to Elvis Costellowhich is, to say the least, a lot different from Bone Symphony.

I feel the Bone Symphony 12" EP is great! One of my favorite records. I wish this band would of put out some more material. This record was extremely difficult to find. The sound that is captured on this 1983 release sounds way ahead of it's time. I would highly recommend Bone Symphony to any fan of Synth-Pop, New Wave, Dark Wave, or Goth Wave.
