November Group are a female duo consisting of Ann Prim on vocals/guitar and Kearney Kirby on synthesizers/backing vocals (they also have a bassist and a drummer). When hearing November Group for the first time, you might be led tobelieve that they`re a German band, but actually they`re from BostonMassachusetts. The first two cuts sound like a more together version ofMalaria!(another female group) due to the chanting and the upbeat tempo. "Pictures Of The Homeland" is a great track that has a somber, Gothicsound. I also love the classic black and white album sleeve. It features Annwith cropped hair, black lipstick, and an old ribbon microphone in herhands. The cover could have easily been substituted with Bowie`s StationTo Station or Low.---A great e.p. from a promising band.
