This guy is a great guitarist! Sure, his white-boy blues don''t quite measure up to the Gary Moores and Stevie Ray Vaughns of the world, but that''s no surprise considering they are looked on as contemporary blues maestros. Still, his competence in this genre is extraordinary for such a short immersion in it. I like this album.
After listening to this album I finally knew why Rex hadmade the split with Whitecross following a very successfulrun with them. There seemingly is a true blues musician justbursting to be freed from inside him. Obviously the hard-rockformat which proved so stimulating for his incredible guitarability was unsatisfying, for whatever reason. This recordingwill satisfy blues-rock fans, bangers need not apply.

Actually, if you knew all the things that went on during the making of this record, you'd laugh/cry or both. Hopefully there's a real album coming out soon. Keep in touch at Rexcarrollband.homestead.com for now. Thanks, Rex
