Comments for Zombies, Odessey And Oracle

E-MAIL: ivydawn@hotmail.com
"Odessey and Oracle", is definitely the best album produced by the Zombies. The music is unlike any other of it''s time. The keyboard mastery of Rod Argent, and the magical voice of Colin Blunstone are unique, and even though the group broke up in the late 60''s they had definitely (according to me) established themselves as one of the best bands of that decade. I am only sixteen years old, and I feel that "The Zombies" had set a certain standard in music which remains unmatched to this day.

Definitely one of the lost masterpieces of the 60's. Echoes of Brian Wilson and The Beatles but definitely not a knock-off. A must-have.
"Time Of The Season" was a double-platinum single that remains a timeless classic. Rod Argent went on to form Argent, and Colin Blunstone`s vocals can be heard on later works by the Alan Parsons Project. Note: Tracks 13 and 14 are CD bonus tracks that were not included on the original 1967 CBS/Date Records` release.

the zombies are, have been, and always will be THE best group of the sixties. they have integrity, groove, soul, and true musicianship. all of these elements are present in this greatest of undiscovered treasures. spread the word on this album and this band. they deserve it.

Hard to believe that the Zombies had already been disbanded two years prior to the release of this album. The album was recorded as a final gesture and without presumptions of commercial success...the results was an album refreshingly absent of prentetion.
