Comments for Young, Paul, Secret Of Association

E-MAIL: byryn@aol.com
This album wasn't taken at face value. It came at a time when pop stars were riding in herds and releasing a lot of fluff. A lot of British bands and rockers were purely spectacle and Paul Young stood apart because of his soulful voice and smart choices he made regarding songs that he chose to do. This was a more mature album than No Parlez, Paul's first album and songs such as "Bite the Hand that Feeds," Soldier's Things" should be looked at for their musical savvy. He has done other albums which did not make much headway, but have elements of his talent. "Other Voices", "The Crossing" are two examples

CDCBS 26234 (Japan) includes a bonus track at the end "Man in the Iron Mask". My favourite track would have to be "I''m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down".
Paul Young`s sophomore release includes "Everytime You Go Away," a Hall and Oates song that Young happened to turn into a Number One hit.
