The original Charlatans, not to be confused with the modern group from England.The Charlatans were an important Haight Ashbury San Francisco group along with the Grateful Dead, Airplane, QMS etc. Their live shows were supposed to be legendary. They were on the verge of breaking up by the time of this recording, but this is a very enjoyable album. The bonus tracks are a single that they did record during their heyday (with Dan Hicks).
