Comments for Toiling Midgets, Son

I know next to nothing about these guys; I got the disc be-cause Mark Eitzel was on it. (He`s since apparently severedties with the group.) The CD booklet tells you nothing; justa few crude soft porn sketches. I`m assuming Eitzel wrote thelyrics; his "I Failed In Life" publishing imprint is credited. This album is subtitled "Sketches to make you run away"; it is raucous but also oddly hypnotic. Very melodic for a group with a supposedly punkish history. Loud, wailing guitars one minute; soft wailing guitars the next. Eitzel`s vocals are the icing on the cake. Other group members: Craig Gray, Tim Mooney, Paul Hood, Karl J. Goldring. Produced by Tom Mallon, who also produced Eitzel`s American Music Club.
