Comments for Here and Now, Fantasy Shift

It seems to me that this album is quite difficult to come across, I bought mine in a second-hand store where it was secreted away under the counter for some reason. Try record fairs. Quite a strong album but with a couple of weak numbers, particulaly Bowie`s Man who sold the world cover. No idea where this comes chronologically, I`ve never seen a Here and Now discography... (anybody?). I`ve always got the impression that Here and Now would like to describe themselves as a punk band, but they`re better known for the Space rock sound. They also delve into reggae and all styles can be heard on this album. Line up: Keith the Bass - Bass and vocals Gavin DaBlitz - Synthesizers and vocals Dino Ferrari - Guitars and vocals Rob Peters - Drums and percussion. Here and now are definately worth checking out if you`re into Gong.

That's not to say that Fantasy Shift isn't a good album - it is very good, just not as great as H&N were live. Theater is better, Been and Gone is probably the best. High Points; The Mega Number, Fantasy Shift. I'm not sure what is "weak" about the Bowie cover - that's a really cool track too. They all are, actually - look, if you see this LP for sale, BUY IT!
