Comments for Ceredwen, Or Mabinogi

E-MAIL: Bill
Front cover photo is that of the Castlerigg Stone Circle in Keswick, Cumbria, England. Pictures of other sceneries and the artists themselves are also from England, and not from Wales as Real Music would like us to believe. This album is just another example of the slick, deceptive commercialism by the people in Sausalito, CA that is often plaguing the music industry these days.

Dear Bill, Castlerigg stone circle is in Cumbria, which was inhabited by Welsh speaking Celtic tribes. The name Cumbria means brethren, and comes from the same root as Cymru, the Welsh name for Wales. Renee is Welsh, and sings in the language of her birth. Ceredwen are based in England and that is where their photographs were taken. This is clearly stated in the sleeve notes which you would have read had you actually listened to the album. All the best, Andrew Fryer.
