Comments for Cafe Noir, Window to the SeaE-MAIL: deoni@iafrica.com Plenty of Central European cafe music influence, together with a whole dollop of Gypsy string tradition. Add to that a singer with an extraordinary range (was he REALLY the USA yodel champion???) and literate arrangements that emulate the classical greats of this century - including Stravinsky and Copland (who could have written the opening of Hymn to America). It''s great and I''ve listened to it over and over. I can''t believe this group is not better known.... Don`t really know how to classify this one. It`s reallygood folk/classical/ethnic/???.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
