This is Cree`s first solo album following the breakup of herfirst group "Subject to Change". By comparison this album is far mellower than her work with STC, and less edgy - but no less brilliant.Working with producer Lenny Kravitz, Cree has produced a compelling soundscapeor sweet melodies and rythms - filled largly with acoustic guitars and hip-hop beats - with an occasional Hendrixian flourish. Stand-out tracks include "Mean Sleep" - a duetwith Lenny - "Naheo", a track reflecting Cree`s native american heritage, "Soul Sister" - a reworked version of a previously recorded Subject to Change song - and the hard hitting "Curious White Boy".Vyan
