Comments for Eddie and the Hot Rods, Fish 'n' Chips

I finally listened to this LP, and may I suggest you burn your copy tout de suite. It''s a truly awful album. The Hot Rods, sans bassist Paul Gray and guitarist Graeme Douglas, is at its most tired and workmanlike. The covers of the Outsiders and the Rascals are bogged down in fancy vocal effects courtesy of Al Kooper. And the instrumental "Fish ''N'' Chips (Part II)" displays as much punk fervor as a newborn kitten. A sad, pathetic end to a kickass band.
