Comments for Blackfoot Sue, Red On Blue

Red on Blue is the first recording by Blackfoot Sue since their 90s reformation. In 1972 the band had two hit singles, "Standing in the Road" and "Sing don`t Speak",though further chart success eluded them. They found themselves uneasily poised between the singles and album markets, carving out a successful niche in neither, whileestablishing themselves on the British touring circuit as support acts for thelikes of the Kinks and Atomic Rooster. With the advent of punk rock, after dying aslow death due to lack of promotion, they finally threw in the towel, the variousmembers of the band moving on to other musical ventures. The recent "Classic Rock"revival inspired founder members Tom and David Farmer to reform the band, this timewith younger sibling Gary, and guitarist Steve Turner to complete the line-up.Red On Blue finds the band delivering a suite of classically crafted rock songs, withthe stand out tracks being the remake of "Standing In The Road", "Better Than Being inLove", and the powerful title track "Red On Blue". Not a dud song on here - check themout!
