Fifth track is 'Fly By Night'. Brian Eno and David Byrne are often credited with introducing African elements into western experimental rock. But this was recorded a good three years prior to that.

By far one of my favorite Can albums. I have it on cassette and it is very worn through. "Don''t Say No" is basically the same as "Moonshake" from Future Days, but much better and definitely a classic. "Call Me" and "Fly By Night" are also wonderful. A good introduction to Can. Kevin Patrick MacNutt
By now Can`s sound was less jazz-like and more abstract, mainly the sound of Karoli soloing endlessly on top of Jaki`s fractured drumbeats. This one is overtly reggae/groove styled. Tracks 2 & 4 are the classics and both go on for quite a bit. It`s hard to decribe what Can were doing - there`s a lot of space and tastefulness in it. But only about half of this succeeds. Basically this is "ambient jamming" or something like it.

I am the same person as macnutkp@jmu.edu although I am writing this nearly six years after my original opinion and have to say that this is actually one of their weaker albums in the fact that they seem to be just going through the motions.
