Comments for Accept, Russian Roulette

E-MAIL: malte.bolinde@koping.se
Russian Roulette is a very underrated album. I agre that it isnt the strongest, but its very good. With this album Accept tried to get back to the old spirit. They succeded to the half. Wolf plays all the guitars and udos voice sound better than on Metal Heart.

The release that killed Accept. Outside of the first 2 cuts, I hate this album. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad but after Metal Heart I was expecting so much more. Thank God they're back on track...

Well, I definitely like this album. I agree that it is DIFFERENT from what's Accept's done before, probably more Teutonic, and a bit less energetic. The first three cuts ("TV War", "Monsterman" an "Russian Roulette") are just brilliant, "Walking in the Shadow" and "Man Enough To Cry" are weak, the rest is fine. True, there are better Accept albums, but I don't think that it was this album that killed Accept - first of all because Accept is not dead!

I have every Accept album and they are all great but this one beats them all. Just that false tone in the solo of Russian Roulette is worth to buy the album :)
A return to form of sorts. However, the album is a few steps back overall, toughening the sound somewhat, but with weakermaterial than Metal Heart.
