WHOOPS - screwed up again entering data - Track 8 is "Best Batch Yet", a great track - and then the other tracks listed are actually #s 9 - 12.

have to disagree with you a tiny bit mcfarsc. Every track on this album is a masterpiece. Ranks right up there with "Trout Mask Replica." The ol'' Captain was a genius too far ahead of our time. Nobody writes songs like these. This album is an underrated classic - a definite 10 on this rating system. My favorite track is the final one.
Wow. This one`s a bit more "punk"-y and aggressive sounding than previous efforts. It is definitely a hard-core expression of Beefheart`s art, containing dense, uncompromising music the likes of which is exceedingly rare in this world.Parts are a bit abraisive but tracks 1,2,5,6,8 are absolutely wonderful, and track 7 is one of Beefheart`s most impressive compositions. In short - get this, along with "Trout Mask Replica" & "Shiny Beast" if you want to hear something fantastic. Captain Beefheart is the Vincent Van Gogh of music - 100 years from now EVERYBODY will be listening to him.
