Comments for Sarah Brightman, Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partirò) (A Tribute to Henri Maske)

Time To Say Goodbye (Con Te Partirò) is one of the best singles ever to go out on the market, in my opinion. I’ve told the whole freaking story about the making of it like 50,000 times over. It is beyond me why the American release of the single can’t be found anywhere, because the design (made from the US album of the same title) is as incredible as the imported version I curently own. Too bad future purchasers have to get the more expensive imported version, but it’s still great especially with Sarah and Andrea together. Andrea’s original Con Te Partirò had already been successful, but Sarah had already been popular long BEFORE he came onto the scene (after all, she was around LONGER than Bocelli), and it was actually good that she collaborate with him. Especially considering she had voice enough to duet with him on such a sexy song. But does that mean I’m turning down Bocelli’s version? Hell no! I’ve heard the song a thousand times already, and it’s one of the only songs I’ve heard that never grows old. Ever. I thank God I’ve found something to live for life, Bocelli mainly (who won fans in America and elsewhere because of the Sarah duet). Next month will be my third anniversary of having been a Bocelli fan, and if I hadn’t taken the time to discover him on PBS that February night, I would have had to be stuck listening to Céline Dion (no offense to her) and the artists I don’t even call my favorites for the rest of my life and still wish for something I can enjoy for life and never get it.
