Comments for Raitt, Bonnie, Nine Liveslaszlo@hotmail.com This album has a strange history, with it being marked by record company shake-ups, changes of producers, and Bonnie being wracked by substance abuse during the recording. Too often called her worst album, I do believe it is her least inspired, but there is such a thing as giving her best shot. This album has covering songs by Bryan Adams (another fave of Bonnie's), Karla Bonoff, Ivan Neville (son of Aaron), Toots & The Maytals) and her old buddy Eric Kaz. With 4 different producers, this album was bound to sound scattered, and it certainly is. While the history of this album may be more interesting than the record itself, it's still a good way to see how far Bonnie would bounce back only 3 years after this.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
