Comments for Carlisle, Belinda, Real

A great album, wherin Belinda gets back to her roots. An alternative feel is apparent on most tracks. A refreshing change from some of her other albums (which are a bit too polished). Great to drive to! Favourite tracks: Big Scary Animal, Lay Down Your Arms, Too Much Water, Wrap My Arms.

Real is the most alternative sounding of the albums. It did not get the commercial success as it deserved but it did get critical success. Big Scary Animal, Lay Down Your Arms, and Here Comes my Baby, are the highlights to this album.

Definitely Belinda's greatest release. "Goodbye Day" and "Wrap My Arms" have a spirited alternative feel to them, "Wrap My Arms" is a pop-flavored gem, and "Big Scary Animal" is a terrific rock tune. "Too Much Water" and "Here Comes My Baby" are album highlights as well as to of Belinda's finest ballads. A wonderful release for those of us who previously found the singles to be the most interesting thing off her albums. This time around, Belinda delivers the "real" thing.

I'm not a big alternative fan but with Belinda it's okay. She shows she can do more than the pop/rock she's done like "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" in this definately 1993 release. It is a great album and a must-have.

This is a good album. It's the only one of Belinda's that I like.

This is by far BELINDA'S best album. This is where she really gets loose and bares herself through the music as well as the lyrics. I think it is her most raw work to date, like someone said her other albums seemed really polished...this is Belinda @ her most honest. Totally underappreciated...

"Tell Me" is my all-time favorite song. It's sad and beautiful.
