Comments for Carpenter, Mary-Chapin, Come On Come On

Since seeing an excellent performance by her on "Austin City Limits" a while back, I have meant to get one of her albums, and this is my first, but not my last. This purchase is significant since I am not a country music fan, but I guess the lyrical, compelling music crosses transcends traditional musical stereotypes. I thoroughly enjoy this album...

I agree with the others that this is her best albulm to date. Mary Chapin has a mix of hard quick upbeat music and slow love ballads. I agree that it a must to buy and hear

The great variety in this album makes it by far the most prized in my collection. I still get the urge to dance every time I hear "I Feel Lucky"!

It is incredible to come across an album that does not have even one substandard track on it. "Come On Come On" is golden from the first strains of piano on "The Hard Way" to the haunting final chords of "Come On Come On", filled in between with such should-be classics as "I Take My Chances", "Passionate Kisses", and "Only A Dream". A must for any fan of literate, fun music.

This is one of the few albums I can put on and listen from start to finish without skipping over cuts. Not a bad track on the entire cd.
Her most assured and accomplished album to date and includesguest appearances from Indigo Girls, Shawn Colvin andRosanne Cash, as well as covers of Dire Straits` "The Bug"and Lucinda Williams` "Passionate Kisses". This is "newcountry folk" at its best !
