Comments for Sarah Brightman, A Question of Honour (first edition)

On March 26, 2001, I finally got this baby in my house. I had to pay $42 for it because that’s how much http://eil.com charges for that critter. I had good reason to be excited because I loved the selection A Question of Honour and was excited about getting this single. The “Radio Edit” that appears here is much different from the one on the 5-track version that has dance remixes, and the Extended Version is even more fly. Obviously, even the 5-track version I also have sounds terrible in comparison to this one because except for the Tom Lord-Alge Mix, the mixes there do no justice to the song. And I once attempted to download a “Long Special FX Version” of the song but never got it completely, so there’s almost no chance of knowing what that version sounds like. Anyway, I have affection for “On The Nile,” which reminds me of the water girl’s song in Walt Disney’s adaptation of The Jungle Book. I got a little promo card with this single promoting the song. Cute. Pity that this creature can’t be found anywhere else except maybe on http://www.ebay.com (you have to bid at the last minute on it to win it), but then it’s a so-called “limited edition” single. But this single peaked at #16 on the German music charts despite the meaning behind the message that is A Question of Honour, whereas Time To Say Goodbye, another song dedicated to Henri Maske, hit #1 in Germany, remaining there for 14 weeks on end. (It appeared on the 12-track Fly CD first because work on the Timeless album, at the time, wasn’t even started yet.) Which obviously means that TTSG is Sarah’s best single. I humbly agree. I’ve pretty much acquired everything of Little Ms. B’s I was long looking for, so it looks like I’ll have to end here.

Yeah, awesome song, but getting this didn’t officially end my Sarah CD collecting. It seems a collector’s work is never done.
