Tryin' To Get The Feeling as it was written does not resemble the Barry Manilow version. This version was never meant to be a final version, which just, again, shows Karen's flawless talent.

Karen Carpenter was truly a great talent. Some say her voice was like a gentle breeze on a summer day. My favorite song is Road Ode.

Album is a must for those who love liner notes regarding each track. Richard Carpenter supplies them. Beautiful!

This is one of my favorite Carpenters compilations. Richard has perfectly remixed most of the tunes, and they all shine. "Tryin to Get the Feeling Again" is flawless, and a shame it wasn't released on the Horizon album. If you're going to buy a Carpenters CD, start with this one!

" Try to get the feelin'' agian" Is timeless and gives a feel of what the Carpenters may have sounded like in the 90''s. Though Karen sounds a little run down, she gives it her all and once agian proved to her family and fans that she was the star of the show. Richard did a wonderful job and produced his sister with loving care. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK !!!
Great compilation containing 3 previously unreleased tunes. "Without A Song" and "From This Moment On" from their 1980 TV Special, and "Tryin` To Get The Feeling Again", recorded in the 1975 "Horizon" sessions.
