Comments for Jellyfish, California Dreaming (Live at the Coach House, San Juan Capistrano, California, USA 1993)

Here we go, Jellyfish-Armee... I don't know if they would call this a bootleg, but I don't care anyway, guys. These are really 14 songs recorded live on stage in the USA (1-9 1993, San Juan as said in subtitle; Bonus tracks recorded live somewhere in USA 1990 and 1991). Yea, and it doesn't only look good from the outside and as far as track-listing goes, it sounds really great as well! They were a real good live band. Perfectionists. I confess, I can't provide a lot of analogies (maybe Dream Theatre). But who could describe Jellyfish at all? They save as much of their studio sound-compositions as possible, vocal harmonies, add some marvellous riffs or softer breaks etc. And most challenges hit the bull's eye. Well, they simply did it - why not any more???

Great band to the point of truly caring about the sound that is a gift to the ears. Vocals are precise and the music is a pleasure to the soul. It lifts and or refreshes the spirit of the music soul depending on the tune. This is a must have. Plus they helped Sponge Bob, what more can you ask from anyone.
