"on my way down"was the first tiem i ever heard and saw Catherine Wheel and i loved the angst immeadiately! of course it didn't hurt that Rob Dickens is so incredibly sexy, with that killer voice and sweet face. "liitle muscle" and "eat my dust" are among my faves. i saw them live at First Ave in Minneapolis, MN, USA and they were in top form, both musically and personally, bantering with the crowd.

I must say, that I think this is the most under-rated Catherine Wheel album to date. Everyone talks about how "loud" and "mean" this album is. But there are so many beautiful moments... "Heal" is one of CW''s best songs ever, with its lilting melody and shimmering guitars; "Eat my Dust..." is also beautiful, but its angry at the same time - a nice feat, and they pull it off brilliantly; "Judy Staring At the Sun" is just a great pop song, radio friendly as it may be, it still has great lyrics and a great style; and last, but certainly not least, "Fizzy Love" and "Kill My Soul" finish off this album - these tracks show what a fine vocalist Rob Dickinson really is: emotive, powerful, sexy, and provocative - he is just a great writer/lyricist/singer. This album firmly placed Catherine Wheel as one of the best bands of the 90''s in my minds. Few groups are so willing to take chances like they do. With such talent in such rare display, Catherine Wheel made a classic album, pairing angst with fiery dynamics and sslow burning beauty, Happy Days is a winner from beginning to end. Period.
A departure for CW, much louder and angrier than their previous outing.satisfying, though, with tracks like "eat my dust..." and "judy staringat the sun."
