Comments for Charlatans UK, Between 10th and 11th

E-MAIL: jlowe@central.georcoll.on.ca
An interesting follow-up to "Some Friendly", "Between 10th and 11th" is, overall, a better album, but wants for a killer single, like "Sproston Green" or "The Only One I Know". The album really grows on the listener, particularly tunes such as "Subtitle" and the amazing "Can't Even Be Bothered". The album's sole hit was "Weirdo", an interesting number with the groves more associated with the group's earlier work.

One of the greatest alternative dance albums of the decade, if not more.

'Page One' is pure Charlatans-style magic, this is THE must-have Charlatans album, their best to date IMHO.

This is Charlatans UK's greatest achievement. No doubt about it...it grows and grows and grows.

Disappointing follow-up to the very promising "Some Friendly". It's as if the band gave up being the Charlatans and turned techno on us. The album was produced by Flood, so the switch to weak, techno-style music is understandable.

Maybe people consider this to be their weakest, but many bands would struggle to have a best album better than this. Highlight is the song "Page One"

Solid album all the way through, only a couple weak spots, and sometimes "Weirdo" gets monotonous.

Fantastic!!!! Page One is awsome!!

Not only is Page One kick ass, but my favorites are Tremelo Song and Chewing Gum Weekend. I dunno how someone here came up with a techno theory.. techno is where you don't play your instruments and sample stuff :)

page one rules!!! this is another album that if you don't own it....you're devoid of all musical taste!! TREMELO SONG RULES!!! I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE SIGHTS is one of their best songs ever....especially the end of it "why don't I find out what you want, it's never a place I've been through"

What a great stuff !!! Flood mixed them up to our hips. And have you ever noticed that good old Mick Jagger stole the last part of No one not even the rain ?????? Just listen to Sweet thing !!!!

Between the 10th and 11th is an awesome album, even if some fans don''t like the techno side of it. I have been on a crusade to find tabs for I Don''t Want To See the Sights. This album has very few weak spots, and they are easily made up for by the awesome vocals and kickass beat displayed throughout the whole thing. If anyone has tabs from this album send them to me please!
A good band from the end-80`s Manchester wave. But don`t expect melodies !
