Which is a shame too, because there are a few good songs on the album, like "It's Up To You", "Kiss Me Red" (A copy of ELO II's version), and of course, the single "It's Only Love".

This is actually one of my favorite Cheap trick albums, in spite of it's obscurity.

This is by far Cheap Trick's weakest effort. Most of the songs are a trite mixture of bubble gum rock and anthem ballads.(and I'm the biggest Cheap Trick fan there is!) This thing was way over produced.Too much keyboard, and Bun's drums sound like small atomic explosions.

EARTH CALLING RICK, ROBIN, BUN E----REPEAT..... Decent tunes destroyed by an overzealous production.

I believe The band members were replaced by alien clones on this one...they probably shoun't even admit to making this one.-sorry

As lousy as the cover! Bun E's drums have been replaced by a drum machine, Gawdawful production, and very weak songs. The best song recorded for this album wasnt on this album->It was "Money is the Route of all Fun" which thankfully popped up on the "Sex, America and Cheap Trick" Box!

In my opinion, the weakest Cheap Trick album of all, and one that almost lost me. Tom Petersson's return on "All Shook Up" rescued me, and I've been back to being a diehard fan ever since!

This album almost lost me too, yet I listened and it grew on me. Once I realized that this was a one time experiment with keyboards and production, I began to relax. Once you get used to the style, you can hear how great some of these songs are. "It's Up to You" and "Take Me To The Top" are my personal favorites. As much as I've come to love this album, let's hope they never do another one like it. I'd love to hear some of these songs live, without all the studio glaze.

album was weak, but had some really good songs, if Rick and the boy's were left alone and done the album the classic CT style, I beleive the out come would have so much better for us hardcore CT fans, this album was the hardest one for me to get into. TO BAD

well i guess this album is lite. but i remember when i first bought it, thinking wow what a great album. it''s only love is one of my fave cheap trick songs. i guess if they produced it themselves we''d have ended up with a far better, tougher album. but we''ve no right to complain. it''s one of their children, & it''s a lot better than the rest of the crap that was being given to us back in the mid 80''s. & i disagree with the current thought on the album cover. i like it. so i''ve had the cover tattooed on my arm, & i like this album, even though a little softer than we''re used to. it always takes me back to my childhood. thanx for making my adolescent years more bearable with your rock !! ....spelloman.
Jon Brant`s last album with Cheap Trick before going over tothe Husband/Wife team called Siren (Red Siren). Rick Nielsen`slead guitars and writing with Robin Zander`s Vocals and co-writingof the material is again indicative of this group as is Bun E.Carlos` hard driving drum beat. The single release "It`s OnlyLove" was the only song to make radio airplay.
