Comments for China Crisis, Flaunt the Imperfection

For me, one of the most inspiring bands of the 1980's. Especially the album "Flaunt the Imperfection", with its Steely Dan influence, and songs like Black Man Ray and Blue Sea. Never quite understood why this band did not get the attention that they deserved. I guess it clearly shows that people who make radio do not necessarily know what good music is!

Not necessarily China Crisis' best, but certainly perfectly produced synthpop.

Sometimes too slick in it''s production (Walter "Trevor who?" Becker), but there''s no denying the songs! Black Man Ray, You did cut me, Strength of character etc Not their best album, but still one of the best albums in the world EVER!

Although China Crisis never did much on the charts (especially here in the U.S.), they are still one of my favorite bands from the 80`s. This is (arguably) their best album.
