Comments for Mark Farner, Some Kind Of Wonderful

I got this tape at a library book sale, and figured for 25 cents what the heck--never heard of Mar Farner. I listened to the first song and couldn't remember who did the original "Some Kind of Wonderful" that I remembered from my teens but thought, 'this guy does a great Christian version' and also 'how did he get away with taking that popular song and turning it into gospel'? After listening 2 the 1st side, which had me dancing in my seat, and giving me a sense of deja vu, I had to look up the artist. No surprise that he was a member of Grand Funk Railroad until 1998. This tape is bluesy, uplifting, happy gospel. I give it a nine out ten.
