Forget about trend setter, try influential for over two decades, and having changed western culture. The godfather of minimal electronics.

This recording is the model that all synth artists today work by, even if they know it or not. The fact is this recording was made before most of todays electronic musicians were born.

The new package is a real treat for those of us that consider ourselves hardcore electro.

There are the popular musics and then there are the important musics like the ones Mark Lane makes. Get a clue America.

Sorry to say I only just discovered the work of Mark Lane. Everything I've heard so far is great. This music is extremely deep and layered for minimalistic electronic synthpop. It is not the usual robotik techno mush one is often confronted by as an electro fan. Hope to hear the new CD soon!

The first time I heard this music on the radio in the early 1980's I was sure I was listening to something very special. Something about Lane's voice is mezmerizing and his musical arrangements seemed so "as a matter a fact." Now here we are twenty years later and I'm sure that in twenty more years this music will still be relavant. This because it is never esoteric or unto itself. It reaches out in layers that I'm not sure Mark Lane is aware of. Although it has long been recognized as an underground classic I'm not sure even his loyal followers are sure how important this work really is....
