I also have to state that the last track is Coleman improvising over a backing made up by what many would consider as world musicians. this is an interesting considering the track was recorded in 1973 which decades later Bill Laswell''s Material was pushing this idea to greater heights.
Possibly the first of Coleman`s attempt to go electric (like Miles`In a Silent Way). The musicians included Coleman on alto saxophone,Bern Nix and Charlie Ellerbee on lead guitars, Rudy MacDaniel on bassand Ronald Shannon Jackson on drums. This is a revamp of Coleman`simprovisational approach with electric guitars. But I have to saybesides from Coleman`s blowing and Jackson`s polyrhythmic drumming, this disc lacks the energy and urgency which other composers/performerscan express so well (such as Miles` Bitches Brew and of course, John Zorn).Adventerous noevertheless, though Coleman can be better in creative terms.
