Comments for Coltrane, John, Dear Old Stockholm

E-MAIL: kurboh@techinter.com
Though a bit of a mutt album, from two sessions two years apart, the music fits together perfectly. Overlooked, to be sure, and brilliant.

I've always felt that "Dear Lord" was one of the prettiest most caring things that Coltrane ever offered this world. It is beyond a masterpiece. I think that it requires a new status, but I'm still trying to discover what that might be. Have you ever thought that it would be nice to meet Coltrane in Heaven when you yourself pass on? Just a thought. Nate

Help!!! I am trying to find a copy of an album that Miles Davis and John Coltrane did together called "Live from Stockholm, 1960". If anyone has heard of this or knows where I can find it, let me know? Many thanks and much peace.
Mere words are inadequate. This features John Coltrane ontenor sax, McCoy Tyner on piano, Jimmy Garrison on bass, and Roy Haynes on drums. The sessions were engineered byRudy Van Gelder on April 29, 1963 (#1-2) and May 26, 1965(#3-5), and were produced by Bob Thiele and Trane.
