Comments for Young, Neil, On The Beach

dlarocca@webtv.net
I bought this album used in a head-shop in 1976 or so. I thought, it's Neil Young how bad can it be? It's one of the most introspective and thought provoking pieces ever conceived in any music genre. It's a peek into Neil's soul at the time and tells alot about the man who's given us so much. I read a critique about the song 'On the Beach' which starts the second side, and this person said Neil Young restorted to whining. He missed the point. He was at a place that he couldn't find a way back from and he simply sung about how he felt. I highly recommend this album to anyone who is curious about Neil Young, Richard Nixon and oneself. p.s. I was that annoying heckler at Willie Nelson's 4th of July party 2003. Sorry Neil but I thought it was the only way to get to let you know how wonderful I think your music is and how important, really, that "On the Beach" be finally put on cd. Now I can ditch my burned copy and buy it remastered! Thank you for everything.........
