Comments for Connells, The, Ring

This album ROCKS! I do think that "One Simple Word" is better but this one definitely sounds good.

The Connells are a great band and nice guys too. I love the album RING and the new single for NEW BOY. Once Peele partied at my house in Delaware - he's the best.

This is definitely their best album yet....i dont know why they dont get the respect that they deserve. they constantly put out amazing music. they are great guys, are great in concert, and well, they are just great. 74-75 video was amazing. that could and should have been the big breakthru, but alas, screw mtv and everyone except the connells and their fans.

I just returned from a trip to Germany. (May-June, '95) Prior till now, I had never heard of The Connells. I have never heard their music played on my local San Francisco stations. Their music WAS popular in Europe, however, esp '74-75. It suprised me to learn that they were an American band. They definately deserve the airplay in their home country!!!

My name is Antonio D'Angelo;i live in Desenzano del Garda (Italy) I went to the concert of this great group on october the 1st I think ring is a fantastic album and i think they are really funny (specially Dug,the singer);in fact I had the opportunity to spend 3 hours with them after the concert in the Pub they had choose for their exibition(what a look,i still can't belive it) I wait for them after the concert to ask their autographs and thy started talking with me;I told 'em I play the guitar and they asked me to play something for them so I played '74-'75 and they congratuketed with me (I was very exited at the moment);so we started playng & singing together (also the staff);the atmosphere was particular;it looked like we had been friends for a long time.It was GREAT.They told me to look for them if I go to USA, but I forgot to ask for their adress;Please if someone Knows it,send it to my E-Mail adress;OH!,please give me also their E-Mail adress, if they have one.CIAO ANTONIO

The entire album is so classy. '74-'75 is wonderful.

Ring was a breakthrough album for the Connells. Produced by Lou Giordano It featured light vocals, more pleasing guitar tones and wonderful pop songs. The previous albums were good, but this one was an improvement in every way. I hope they keep working with Lou Giordano! This album is one of my top 3 of the year.

"Ring" is a killer album. Top songs: "New Boy" and "Disappointed." These guys are also a must-see live.

A good album. Certainly the most produced. A lot of consistently good songs.
