Comments for Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros, Streetcore

This is simply the best work Joe & the Mescaleros have done together. Frome the rousing Coma Girl, via the dub/reggae-funk-rock of get Down Moses to the folky Silver and Gold they walk through well-known Strummer areas of music. You got a coupple of Strummer rockers (Arms aloft and All in a day), some "straight to hell-ish" soulsearching music (Ramshackle Day Parade) and the best version ever made of Marley's Redemption Song! A version that grows into heaven and hopefully sees Joe on the top.. There are only two minuses: The CD is too short and Midnight Jam. The rest is Joe in top form as he was during the London Calling/Sandinista! area. RIP Joe, we could have needed some more from you.
