The Cranberries switched to a different producer for this album. As a result many of the songs have a much harsher, "wall of noise" sound to them. About half the songs are still good though. Fans of 'Daffodil's Lament' from the previous album should like 'Electric Blue' in this album. Overall I was slightly disappointed by this album as a whole.

the cranberries are at there best. the album has so much different mood that r felt buy dolores. she has wrote about how she feels. the song "i just shot john lennon" is one of the best the have done. she is saying how it was so tragic for the killer of john lennon to kill him and then to say "i just shot jhon lennon" it is an anger song> for those who love zombie--- hollywood is very good it explains about fantsys that peopel have but in the end it is just back to reality that u come back to and you have to work to get the full pay back>>> this is all i have to say to those who have been putting down there album or giving bad ratings (rolling stone:spin) it is those people who bring down thoses who realling express them selves. and when the do express them selves people always take it the wrong way. that is wrong and should not be done may be thoses people should listen to the album over and over and find out find out the real point :think about it:

Dolores is hot on this album. The lyrics are well-thought out and the music is upbeat and progressive. The song "The Rebels" may just be the Cranberries' best yet.

Pop music masquerading as militant rock. Zombie is probably the most misinterpreted and blown-out-of-proportion song since Born in the USA, and these geese have sure capitalized on it! I''m not dissing the band, just the queers who buy their records.
This is their third release.
