ATF sucks???Umm, no..if you enjoy well crafted, mid 80's pop that has what most bands from the period lack-a guitar edge WITH the keyboard/synths.. This is not the strongest alum-that award goes to "batteries"-but except for the unfortunate "Wild west Show" this is a infectious, good-feeling album. BTW, the title track is an instrumental that was also a dance club hit in Germany at the time. Lastly, there is an earlier version of the album, traded among the elightened, that has diff trx and mixes than what was released. There is also a video of their appearance on "Rock Goes to College" in the UK that shows them on the tour for this album.

Another classic album from a class band. This record follows on from where 'Laser Love' left off (see comments on 'Laser Love' page) with plenty more great songs. I always thought that the mixing on 80-f left a little to be desired compared to Laser Love but nevertheless it still stands up as a top record. Again the lyrics are intelligent and thought provoking. Highlights are 'Billy Billy', 'Why Can't We Be Friends' and 'Joanne'. In keeping with everything that ATF did it's well worth a listen. Check It Out.

The original 80-f album (pulled by CBS) was even better in my view - it is a shame that the tracks like Operator never made it.
