I agree - here begins the slide into terrible crap. For some reason I hated Sonic Temple after this one came out. Still do.

The Cult-Ceremony in my opinion, is one of my all time favorites. albums. Then again The Cult is one of my all time favorite bands! Let's give em credit for having enough balls to change their style and still sound great!

In my opinion the best Cult album ever, although Love & Electric come pretty close.

I liked this one, when it came out. Reminded me of the albums before "Electric". Pretty bombastic produced, but full of spirit. It's an "Ian Astbury" album at last. Still "Love" is my favourite, but with the last "Cult" album they demonstrated their musical potential by (again) changing their style without loss of quality. There is definitely no other rock band with a comparable variability through 6 albums.
