Comments for Cure, The, Seventeen Seconds

A rather pleasant album with somewhat of a dark mood hanging just above it, _Seventeen Seconds_ is the beginning of the progression toward _Pornography_. Upbeat songs such as "Play For Today" are countered beautifully by darker tunes such as "At Night." A good balance of light and dark songs that are all wonderfully crafted by the songwriting genius of Smith.

A hint at Robert Smith`s dark side that was to overcomehim in future albums. Good songwriting, especially in`A Forest`.
