"Just Like Heaven" is by far the best song ever created.

Something of a concept album. Some escellent tracks mixed with some mediocre ones. All in all though, a good effort.

I think Kiss Me 3x is The Cure's best album to date and I doubt that any other album could beat it! It also contains some great guitar and keyboard work, for play both. And it consists of my favorite Cure song: "Why Can't I Be You?"!

"Just like Heaven" could be the most beautiful song ever written. It's a shame that the rest of the album is just plain boring.

Boring? I do'nt think so. This is one of the Cure's best albums. Many different sounds and styles.Could of used a editor though, I could do with out a couple of the songs. Still, one of the best Cure albums.

A slick album but far from the definitive cure album. Comparable to Wild Mood Swings but inferior to Disint. or Head as far as quality is concerned. A great album until you get to Just Like Heaven, which is undoubtedly the best song ever written. Everything after JLH is completely unlistenable. The Kiss intro is way too damn long, although if Trent Reznor ever listened to the Cure, that was the song he liked. Standouts are Catch, How Beautiful You Are, and of course JLH.

OK, OK, JLH was a very nice song. I think we all agree. But this album is just about the Cure's most sentimental, which is not to say it's at all inferior to previous or following work by the band. This record has intoxicating and ambitious moments, and is all the more dazzling for also showing great pop nuance and range. "The Snakepit" is a dark opiate instrumental; "Why Can't I Be You?" is a frolicking Dr. Suess-inspired love ode; "Fight" is closer to something to Trent Reznor's liking, I should think; and "How Beautiful You Are" is just plain heartbreaking songwriting. Robert Smith is one of the most intelligent and musically gifted artists in England today. In more than a decade he has produced intense and peerless music that, even though his band is constantly losing and gaining members, challenges his "Goth" pigeonholing and seldom disappoints fans.

I don't understand something. Just Like Heaven is one of my favorite songs. The Kiss is also one of my favorite songs. Who the hell are all these idiots that only listen to Just Like Heaven, Love Cats, Friday I'm in Love, and Mint Car? If you were real fans you would appreciate all of the songs Smithy spits out; not just the obvious 'popular' tunes. Open your minds.

"Like Cockatoos" is hardly unlistenable; it's brilliant. As is most of this album ("Fight" seems a little lame to me). A great collaboration of the musicians' talents go into a very diverse album. "Snakepit" and "If Only Tonight...." were the songs that hooked me on this one.....it was almost a month before I realized "Just Like Heaven" and "Cockatoos" existed, as I constantly skipped back to the two aforementioned tracks instead of letting the album run its course. I soon realized the brilliance of its entirety.

This is the ultimate Cure album for simply hitting play, and constantly going back to repeat tracks. It is by far not Robert Smith and Co.'s best effort, yet Icing Sugar, Why Can't I Be You, Like Cockatoos, and Torture are surly some of the best Cure songs of all time.

after picking up "disintegration" and being blown away by it i went back and carefully picked out other cure albums i might like. "kiss me kiss me kiss me" seemed like a good place to start since it contained the superb single "just like heaven". needless to say, that is the best song they ever put out and quite simply a pop masterpiece. the other singles "why can't i be you" is beautifully bizarre, and "hot hot hot" again weird and fun. there are other very songs included here such as "the perfect girl", the silly "catch", the heartbreaking "how beautiful you are", the somewhat sad "a thousand hours", and the hauntingly sweet "one more time". the other songs are okay too, but not quite at the level of the others. although i purchased this cd after "disintegration", it's interesting to hear how they evolved from "kiss me" to the present. this one's a good one, but despite the perfect "heaven", this one just misses greatness. shrug.

It's sad that Kiss me X3 is rated by most only because of the song "Just like Heaven". In my opinion, Kiss Me is the second greatest album the Cure has done (Pornography being first). Kiss Me is a perect balance of beautiful love songs and morbid hate songs, the yen and yang of music. No other group has achieved that on the same album.

Its a great album, theres no doubt...what i want to know is when will the re-release it on CD with ALL the track? It sucks not having "Hey You!!" with the rest of the album...unless of course you get it on tape...

This is one of the pivitol albums of the Cures lifespan. I bought it in 1987 when it came out. I have the Triple 12" LP version (yes 3 12"s) version that includes the additional orange vinyl 12" with six additional songs not on the CD release. ( and that''s not even counting "Hey You") You haven''t really heard this album till you''ve heard all songs. Any body want to make an offer?? I won''t take less than $80 bucks for it. Extra songs: Sugar Girl, Icing Sugar, Snow in Summer, Japanese Dream Chain of Flowers, Breathe (and Hey You)
This album has been compared to Prince`s "Sign O The Times"for it`s diversity and length. Another brilliant work, andthis time you can *almost* work out a storyline...
