Comments for Cure, The, Paris

My favorite concert recording of all-time, and it's a lot better than the Show album. Opens with a fantastic rendition of "The Figurehead," (even with Robert's mistake with the lyrics) and never looks back. This is required listening for fans of live music.

A concert of their more moody introspective side. Put it on, turn it up, turn off the lights and enjoy.

An absolute must if you like the mellow side of The Cure. It has a really good version of Catch, it opens a bit like The Caterpillar, and it's unbelievable. And A letter to Elise also lifts it up. Not to mention the opener: Figurehead, this version is just awesome. It's my favorite album.

Probably the best of The Cure's major concert releases, certainly better than Show. Dressing Up and Play For Today are the best versions of those songs I have ever heard. When the crowd begins to chant to Play For Today, Oh my!

Paris is The Cure at their live best - fantastic renditions of Play for Today and At Night make this one of my top Cure albums ever.
