Comments for Czukay, Holger, Rome Remains Rome-Der Osten ist rot

The music is basically a backdrop for Czukay''s tasteful production and sensibility. It''s interesting, and pretty relaxed I think. Not indispensible but a decent summer afternoon''s listening.

Two albums squeezed into one CD. The music ranges fromalmost ambient, similar to the collaborations with DavidSylvian, to a tape collage of Pope John Paul as rap artist...In between he smuggles in catchy pop tunes and a hilarious reworking of the Chinese national anthem (really).
