Comments for Czukay, Holger, Moving Pictures

This is not an "ambient" album although there are two tracks which might be classified so ("Radio in an Hourglass" and "Floatspace"). The last track features almost all Can members save Irmin Schmidt. Every feature of Czukay''s music is in place - spacy atmospheres, radio ambience, stray sounds, fine melodies and fine humour. Well, er... fine album.

Over the years Czukay has depended increasingly on SheldonAncel to provide lyrics and vocals. This album features himquite prominently, and the central piece - the last track -is a hymn to Cyberspace, no less. Czukay is by now almost 60 years old, but his creativity is certainly still there.Let`s hope there`s much more to come.
