Comments for Alan Parsons Project, The, Gaudi

E-MAIL: Hokan@Dircon.co.uk
A record with big ups and downs. One of Alan Parsons most "soft" records, where Gaudi is the song with most power. "Higher ground" is the best song, with close competition from the titel track, IMHO ofcourse. :-)

Seen by some as a return to form: plenty of orchestration, soundscapes and extended middle-sections. Eric Woolfson sounds sincere in his passion and sympathy for creative architectural genius, Antonio Gaudi, who unfortunately died before his time. This has since been adapted by Woolfson in Europe for the stage, and has been recorded with extra songs. This album is easy to listen to all the way through with great texture in the music (but we expect that from these people). A bit short. Followed by Woolfson's solo outing "Freudiana"(with help form Parsons). Ian Thomas.

this album was the first album I ever got by alan parsons Now I have almost all,so Im still fond of it .
The last offical Alan Parsons Project album. It has alwayshad a `rushed` feel to it. It has some very good songs on it,but it has some stinkers as well. It`s based loosly on thelife of Antonio Gaudi, the Spanich architect.
