Comments for Thinking Machines, A Complete Record of Urban Archaeology

wow. this is an absolutely fantastic album. it's reminiscent of indie rock from 1992. i would say an electra2000 era hum mashed with polvo. there are hints of ...and you will know us by the trail of dead (before they got all conceptual) and maybe even the new Les Savy Fav record. A Complete Record of Urban Archaeology basically just rocks from start to finish. there are tons of cool riffs and interesting guitar as well as hummable melodies and a great rhythm section that often explores alternate time signatures. this is a great album from an apparently little known band from philadelphia. it clocks in at like 35 minutes which lends to it's straightforward aggressive punch. i actually wished it had been a little longer cuz i wanted to hear more. you can listen to the album at last.fm and download it at itunes. apparently the hard copy comes out some time in feb. of 2008. i recommend waste of time, urban archaeologist, fire, and adjective:noun.
