A magnificent album. The version of "Mistreated" still sends a chill down my spine, a classic! "You Fool Know One" rates not far behind.

This album is an essential example of Ritchie Blackmore''s ability to push himself AND the band into hyperdrive. It contains outstanding versions of Burn and Lay Down, Stay Down, but the real treasures are the finest versions of Mistreated and You Fool No One available. Coverdale and Hughes are outstanding, the vocal-ego duels have yet to rear their ugly heads and Jon Lord shines thru-out. The Paice/Hughes rythymn section is awsome! Rumour has it the entire concert w/the long unavailable 30 minute version of Space Truckin''(left off here due to time constraints) is going to be re-released officially. If it appears, then skip this album, and buy it instead. If it doesn''t come out, then this album is required in any collection. Jim C.
