69 is a ..er... rather intimate kind of position guys. Do Gillan and Morse know that? Or were they too busy ..er.. checking it out???

Abandon to me is an album that lacks good songs. The opener "Any Fool Know That" is a blueprint of "Ted The Mechanic" from Purpendicular, only weaker. I''m not sure if Steve Morse is THE right guy for this band. If you''re into ZZ Top guitar-bending, this might be your cup of tea, not mine. Sorry to say this ''cos Deep Purple is one of my alltime fave bands. Standout tracks:"Fingers To The Bone" & "Almoast Human".

This album, along with several others, is not Deep Purple. Deep Purple died when Ritchie Blackmore left. RIP Deep Purple, one of my all time favorite bands.
The new album from DEEP PURPLE. The group is still: Ian Gillan (voc), Steve Morse (guit.), Jon Lord (organ), IanPaice (dr.) and Roger Glover (bass). IMO is this album oneof their best ever - a good sound and good guitar. My absolutefavourite song is: Fingers to the bone!

Teh guy who said that Deep Purple died when Blackmore left is obviously not realizing that this is a totally different sounding band! Blackmore and Morse are like night and day! While this album is nowhere near the classic Purpendicular, it is still a step in the right direction, and they are steering away from bein a band who has nothing to offfer anymore.
