Comments for Alarm, Declaration

As a dispossesed youth this album shored up my spirit and gave me reasons to continue. As a mature and seasoned music loving adult I consider it one of the finest examples of blood and guts rock and roll I''ve ever heard. A unique musical vision and courageous lyrical stance make this a standout. Along with side 2 of "Strength" this is the best music they ever made and it kind of makes you sad that most peoples knowledge of The Alarm begins and ends with the uninspired, lackluster "Rain in the Summertime". Long Live The Alarm!

The first Alarm full-length album, and IMO, the best. Mike Peters is in fine voice and Alan Shacklock`s productionis outstanding.
