Mode outdoes themselves with one of their best albums to date. From the adrenaline-pumping "Policy of Truth" to the gorgeous melodies of "Blue Dress", Martin Gore has written 9 winners here. Outstanding.

I agree - whatever this is, it sure ain't techno. That don't change the fact that this is one FINE album. World in my Eyes and Enjoy the Silence are brilliant. SOOO much better than "Songs of Faith and Devotion"!!

The band say that their music should be called electro-blues???

More Violators and less Songs of faith and devotion!

This album contains a true soul-filled passion that belongs to everyone. No one can take that feeling away, and Violator is an album to describe that.

An incredible record - I've listened to it for years and will never tire of it. Each track is outstanding - Martin really excelled himself here and Dave was yet to reduce himself to a total joke! "Blue Dress" is Martin at his best, and "Enjoy The Silence" is still incredible

I agree that this is better than Songs.... This was the bes. It was also the bbbbbbbeeeeeesssssttttt concert I have ever been to. Dave and Martin were sounding ggrreeaatt! I have listened to this tape so much that I had to go out and get another one. A must get!

Violator is Depeche Mode at their peak. It is absolutely incredible and is what got me into DM. There is not a single song on here that isn't ace. This is synth-driven music brimming with emotion & soul. A MUST-HAVE!!!
